Do you have any idea about how the E53 will hold up compared to the older 43? The extra power and updates to the car are appealing but I’m not so sure about going with the first generation of the EQ system. The EQ boost looks cool but I am sort of worried about how all this new tech is going to age. Would you recommend getting a 43 instead or should the 53 be alright?

Ya, except that comment is coming from a guy (me) who drives an E class that’s 1 step below the E63 so I probably shouldn’t talk.
But that E63 wagon remains my dream car...

No idea honestly. Everything there is new and has n’t hit my shop yet. I’d be less worried about the EQ system though since it’s largely an evolution of our older hybrid systems. The engine is the biggest question for me. I honestly don’t know. I’ve had some very minor online training on it a while back, but that’s it.
The 43 on the other hand is all “old” tech. Should be a really safe bet.

I imagine like every other AMG car. It’ll age very expensively

That is true but I am hoping it does not age W220 S65 expensively.

Thanks for your input. I’ve got a friend with a 43 and nothing has gone wrong with it so far. So I might start looking for deals on those once the 53 comes out. Is there anything to know about the 43s?

Not enough $ and too much traffic to justify it sadly.

They come with summer tires. If you live somewhere that’s about to be cold and wet or snowy you’ll want to swap those out. Everything else has been around a few years and updated along the way. Neat cars.
